The coaches at Grampian Tigers are qualified through the British Cycling Cycle coaching Scheme.
If you have any queries regarding coaching, please contact on the the Grampian Tigers coaches.
Becoming a Coach
We are always on the lookout for more coaches and we ensure that our club budget can support and develop our volunteers. If you would be interested in coaching, please come and speak to us. You can begin by assisting the club coaches, build experience and then go for your Level 1 or 2 qualification. Current volunteers will be more than happy to help you achieve it.

Youth Progression Award Scheme
Scottish Cycling North East have developed a Youth Progression Award Scheme. The aim of the scheme is to have a consistent achievement program for taking youth cyclists up to a level where they want to progress into racing or enjoy other aspects of cycling.
Grampian Tigers will be rolling the scheme out over the next few weeks as membership is renewed. The scheme won’t change how the sessions are coached as it is based on the British Cycling Gears program that all the coaches are trained with. It will help riders to develop not only their cycling skills but will also include bike checking, kit preparation and leadership skills.
The scheme has six General levels which all riders must complete before moving onto Discipline specific levels. See below for an overview of the scheme. At the end of each level each rider will be provided with a certificate and badge (at additional cost), great for sewing onto your Grampian Tigers hoodie and wearing with pride.
There is no cost to participate in the scheme. Each rider will be provided with a folder containing the six General level worksheets and it will be the rider’s responsibility to bring along to sessions for sign off. There will be a cost of £3 per badge at the end of each level.
If you want any more information, please speak to a coach at any Tigers session.
