As of Monday the 28th of May the Monday Tigers session will relocate to Countesswells Forest for the next group of sessions which will be focussed on mountain bike skills. The meeting place will be the main Countesswells carpark (see link below).
We meet at 18.15 for sign on and bike checks with the main session starting at 18.30 sharp.
The kids should be on a bike capable of coping with off road terrain i.e. a mountain bike with nobbly tyres. As usual a helmet is a must but gloves and glasses are also strongly recommended. You may also want to consider long sleeves
As there’s a lot happening this summer term we’d thought we’d keep you posted with dates for your diary.

On Thursday 17th May you will have the opportunity to take part in the support races for the Tour series. This is Britain’s premier pro-race series so whether you are racing or not it’s a spectacle not to be missed.

Check out the email from Stevie. Good opportunities here!
I am emailing you to introduce you to my new role as HSBC regional lead MTB coach for the NE region.
The role is an initiative from Scottish Cycling and the brain child of Paul Newnham who is the head MTB coach for Scotland . My role is to support the great work the clubs are doing and I plan to deliver a pathway to encourage kids racing in the NE region.
The pathway is GO-RIDE sessions(weekly)
REGIONAL cluster sessions(monthly)
NATIONAL R.A.C.E SESSIONS.(monthly)
My initial plans are to have a come and try ‘Taster’ session for new kids or those who have raced a few time and are keen to improve their skills. This session will take place on Sunday the 17th of December 10am till 12pm and will be at Lochore meadows .
Also on the same day there will be a Regional Cluster Session from 1pm till 3pm and will be open to youth A,B and C riders. and will give an insight to how the regional sessions will run.
I would also like to offer the opportunity of coach support including CPD through Scottish Cycling in return for coach support at the sessions.
Please can you pass the information to interested parties asking those interested to complete this GOOGLE POLL
Tigers are starting up again after the October break on Saturday the 4th November.
Sessions will be held at Dunnottar Woods, Stonehaven and will focus on mountain bike and cycle cross skills.
We plan to run up until the 16th December before breaking for the festive period.
If riders can be at the woods for 11.15am for an 11.30am start that would be great.
Looking forward to seeing you all on Saturday.
As the evenings are getting darker earlier, for the next 2 weeks the Monday Tigers session will run from 6.15pm – 7.15pm. If you have lights, it would be a good idea to put them on your bike for these sessions.
On Saturday 30th September there won’t be a Tigers session on in Stonehaven. Tigers and coaches have been invited to join in the fun at Aboyne.
Please be aware that Tigers coaching sessions in Stonehaven will take place at Mineral well Park from this Saturday until the October holidays. Plenty of parking. We’ll be over by the AstroTurf pitch.
Thanks to everyone that turned out last Sunday for a fun grass track race session. The weather was in our favour and it was lovely to be joined by our friends at Deeside Thistle. It took a little time to organise partly due to the area inside the fence being out of bounds due to the building works and also due to sorting out bike sizes.
We have realised that the facebook group page and closed membership can be an issue when trying to arrange events, particularly when other clubs are invited to join. Therefore we’ve set up an online registration form on our website.
We hope that the form will help us to get a better idea of the number of participants expected, what size of bikes will be needed and contact details on hand in case of cancellation.
So, please can we ask that you register using the form if you intend to join the Grass Track League. The form can be found on the section of the website. Scroll down past the event calendar and you’ll see it.
